March 08: As a part of public outreach programme, Police in Awantipora facilitated a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting at village Lethpora. The meeting was held while following social distancing norms and other protocols.
The meeting was chaired by SDPO Awantipora Shri Mumtaz Ali Bhatti-JKPS accompanied by SHO Police Station Awantipora Inspector Mohd Younis Khan. The meeting was attended by Sarpanchs, Panchs & respectables of the area.
During the meeting, the participants raised various issues pertaining to Police and civil authorities. The chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with concerned authorities for their early redressal. The chairing officer also sought their cooperation in maintaining peace & stability in the area besides, identifying anti-national & anti social elements.
The participants in the meeting assured their full co-operation to Police and Administration in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
