Poonch, July 08 : In yet another phase of exchange of fire on the Line of Control, a woman was killed and another injured in a village of Balakote tehsil in Poonch district on Wednesday.
Police sources said that Rashem Bi wife of Azam Ahmed and Hakam Bi, both above 60, got injured at around 3 AM when Pakistan resorted to heavy shelling on LoC villages of Balakote.
“Both injured were shifted to nearby medical facility where Resham Bi was declared as brought dead,”police said.
Other injured woman was provided first aid in local hospital and was than shifted to Rajouri hospital, police added.
