Police have arrested a man from Handwara in Rajbagh Srinagar area on charges of drug peddling.
Police sources said, that a police party from police station Raj Bagh after receiving information about the movement of a drug peddler in Raj Bagh area arrested him and recovered 70 grams of Charas from his possession.
Sources identified the alleged peddler as Nazir Ahmed Dar son of Muhammad Majnoon, a resident of Kralgund Handwara.
A police official while confirming the arrest of drug peddler said that an FIR vide number 52/2020 under section 8/20 NDPS has been registered in this regard.
