Block Diwas programme held at various places across Kupwara

Officers from civil administration heard the public in day long events

KUPWARA, APRIL 06: Block Diwas programmes were held today at various places across Kupwara district in which officers from civil administration heard the issues of the public.

On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan chaired the main Block Diwas event at Kalaroose block. SDM Lolab, Tehsildar, BDO, besides, PRIs and concerned officers attended the day long block diwas programme.

The ADDC in his address said that the aim of holding weekly block diwas is to hear the people at their door steps and address their developmental issues and grievances and to provide them awareness about different welfare schemes of the Government.

   Earlier, PRIs and senior citizens projected various developmental issues of the area before the chair.

   Officers from Administration also spoke and replied to the queries raised by the PRIs and the people. They also gave awareness regarding developmental schemes of their respective departments.

 At Town Hall Langate, ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir chaired the Municipal Diwas. BDC Chairperson, President Municipal Committee, besides, officers from administration, PRIs and students attended the programme.

 Block Diwas was also held at Tangdar headquarter which was chaired by SDM Karnah, Dr. Gulzar Ahmad Rather. BDC Chairperson, PRIs and concerned Officers attended the block diwas.
