Handwara Police organizes COVID-19 awareness rally

July 25: Police in Handwara under the supervision of SSP Handwara Dr G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy-IPS organized an awareness rally about Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The rally was started from District Police Lines Handwara and marched through the town Handwara to Main Chowk. During the rally, police officials were carrying placards, banners with varied informative slogans to create awareness about Covid-19 among the general public.

During the road march, SSP Handwara appealed general public to maintain strict lockdown and emphasized upon them to use masks & hand sanitizers, besides, he also advised them to maintain social distancing. He also appealed them to play their role in containing the spread of virus.

The rally was attended by the officers and jawans of Handwara Police including SDPO Handwara Shri Tariq Mehmood-JKPS, DySP DAR Handwara Shri Rakeeb Malik-JKPS, DySP Handwara Shri Fariz Hussain-JKPS and SHO Police Station Handwara. The officers highlighted the necessary precautions required to be taken to protect from the virus. Besides, a team of Medical experts from District Hospital Handwara, Chairman Municipal Committee Handwara, Youth from Kudu Association Jammu & Kashmir also participated in the rally.

Besides, masks, sanitizers and pamphlets carrying Covid-19 related information were distributed among the participants and general public.

General public of the area applauded the role of Handwara Police for creating awareness drive in the area.
