Srinagar, July 29 A teenage girl hanged herself to death in her home at Natipora area of Srinagar late on Tuesday evening, officials said.
They told news agency— that an 18-year-old girl (name withheld) hanged herself to death at her home in Azad Basti, Natipora Srinagar yesterday evening. “After spotted hanging from a ceiling, her family members rushed to SMHS hospital where doctors declared her as dead on arrival,” officials said.
Doctors at the SMHS hospital confirmed to KNO what the girl was brought dead to the hospital. Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and started investigations that forced the girl to take extreme steps.
A case has been registered at Police station Natipora and investigations taken up.
