30 candidates selected, 25 shortlisted by participating Employers

KATHUA, SEPTEMBER 29: District Employment and Counseling Centre Kathua today organized a One Day Job Fair in its office premises.

The programme started with a welcome address by Assistant Director Employment Kathua Naresh Kumar who guided the job seekers regarding the job vacancies available and encouraged them to participate with zeal for the job screening process.

The Career Counseling session was conducted by Career Counseling Officer Surjeet Kumar.

The Assistant Director Employment said that the daylong event was organised to guide youth about ways to enhance their employability skills, avail benefits of online registration on employment portal (www.jakemp.nic.in) which has been integrated with National Career Service (NCS) portal and also made them aware about self employment schemes of different departments.

During the Job Fair, Industries/Business group viz Godrej, Chenab Textile Mills Kathua, Varun Beverages, Shuhul Motors, SBI Life and Jackson pvt. Ltd Kathua participated and conducted on the spot interview of the aspirants/ job seekers coming from different parts of the district.

Around 112 candidates participated in the job fair of which 30 were selected on the spot and 25 were shortlisted for the next round of interview. Shortlisted candidates will be scrutinized and their final selection will be made in the coming days.
