Block Diwas Public Grievances redressal camps held in Doda at 4 places

 In continuation to the UT administration’s multiple campaigns/ initiatives to reach out to the people at their doorsteps, the weekly Block Diwas program was today held at all 4 designated places in district Doda where the team of Officers assessed the disparities in development, listened to the public issues and provided varied services on the spot.

The week Block Diwas program was held at   Panchayat Ghar Soura, Block Bhalla, Sub District Bhaderwah; Sub Divisional Headquarter at Gandoh; Middle School Ranka, Sub Division Assar; and Panchayat Kansoo, Block Kahara, Sub Division Thathri.

People in large numbers attended the Block Diwas at all the four locations and projected their demands seeking up-gradation of Health and Education in the area, extension of road connectivity to uncovered habitations, augmentation of water and power facilities etc. The whole programme was held under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan. The Block Diwas mechanism has been instrumental in bridging the gap between people and administration.

During the day long Block Diwas proceedings Public and PRIs put forth a range of issues and demanded   macadamisation of roads, execution of works under MGNREGA, upgradation of electric poles among others.

The Presiding officers of the Block Diwas gave a patient hearing to the issues and demands and directed the concerned officers to prepare a list of issues/grievances raised pertaining to their departments and resolve the same at an earliest.
