Maha Gramsabha held for formulation of GPDP of two Smart villages

KUPWARA, APRIL 17 : A Maha Gramsabha was held today at Shahlal Handwara to formulate GPDP 2023-24 for two smart villages ShahLal and Buderhur.
Maha Gram sabha which was attended by PRIs, a large number of local residents District officer and Sectoral officers of all line departments was presided over by Additional Deputy Commisioner (ADC) Handwara Nazir Ahamd Mir.
Addressing the maha Gramsabha, ADC Handwara said that Mahagramsabha provided a platform for officers of different line departments, field functionaries, PRIs and general public to assemble at one place and discuss various development issues.
ADC said that there was healthy interaction and GPDP for both the panchayats was formulated.
He further said that it is responsibility of district adminstration and PRIs to work in tandem and ensure development and happiness in rural areas.
DDC member Rajwar, Sulaman Mir on the occasion congratulated the residents of both the Panchayats ShahLal and Buderhur for getting their Panchayats selected as Smart villages.
He said that GPDP for both the Panchayats were formulated today in a peaceful and interactive atmosphere.
He said that Education is the top most priority in both the Panchayats and he appreciated Education department for approving of two Kindergartens at ShahLal and Waripora.
“By executing different projects in convergence mode in both the smart villages we can create a bench mark of development here” DDC member said.
Maha gram sabha was attended by PRIs and district and sectoral officers of Line departments.
