Srinagar, May 02 : Baramula Police booked 4 notorious drug peddlers under PIT-NDPS Act.
Police in a statement to news agency said that acting tough against drug peddlers and to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Baramulla Police booked notorious drug smuggler namely Habeel Yaseen Dar @ Rouf S/O Mohd Yaseen R/O Tarhama Kunzer, Ab Rehman Malik @ Rehman Military S/O Ghulam Mohammad R/O Kalantra Payeen Kreeri, Shahnawaz Ahmad Mir @ Boja S/O Matwali Mir R/O Daragutliyan Uri & Hafeez Ahmad Khan S/O Mohd Abass R/O Rehsiwari Niloosa Baramulla under PIT-NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent Authority.
The booked drug peddlers* have been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jail Jammu, police said.
Pertinent to mention that many cases are registered against these drug peddlers and were involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth of Kunzer, Kreeri Wagoora, Uri, Bijhama and other areas of District Baramulla.
