DC Doda finalises arrangements for Eid-ul-Adha 2023

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Vishesh Mahajan, today discussed the arrangements for Eid-ul-Adha at a joint meeting of departments here in the Conference Hall of DC office.

Threadbare discussion was held regarding arrangements to be put in place by the concerned departments, including availability of essentials, transport arrangements, and cleanliness. The DC exhorted upon the officers of essential services departments to take measures for providing uninterrupted power and drinking water supply and availability of essential commodities in the market at reasonable prices. He instructed the Executive Officer of the Municipal Council to start cleanliness and sanitation drives around Masjids, and streets. Ex En Jal Shakti department Doda was directed to make proper arrangement of water and sanitation in the Slaughter House.

The Fire and Emergency Services Department was asked to keep fire tenders ready at vulnerable places, especially in the town, to deal with any eventuality.

Further, directions were issued to the concerned officers to intensify market checking on profiteering, hoarding, and black marketing. The Officers of Municipal Committee, FCS&CA, Legal Metrology, Food and Drug control, and Police Departments were asked to check and ensure that products are sold strictly in accordance with the notified rates.

Moreover, the DC appealed to the public to buy the products at already notified rates and maintain cleanliness and discipline.

The DC also directed the regulating authorities to effectively enforce the traffic decongestion plan to avoid traffic jamming in the market places during the Eid days.

The meeting was attended by SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, ADDC Doda Pran Singh, ADC Doda Dr RK Bharti, ADC Bhaderwah Ch Dil Mir, ACR Doda Sanjeev Kumar, ACP Doda Ashfaq Khanji, GM DIC Idrees Lone, DTO Doda Muzaffar Hussain, SE PWD, SE JSD, AD Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, CAO, CHO, DYSSO, CAHO, DIO, EO MC Doda and other concerned officers.
