JAMMU, OCTOBER 25: In connection with Swachhta Pakhwada and Swachhata Hi Sewa campaign and to mark UT Foundation Day celebration, Department of Information and Public Relation (DIPR) on Wednesday conducted a comprehensive cleanliness drive here in its Office premises under the guidance of DIPR Joint Director Jammu Atul Gupta
Joint Director (Hqr) Naresh Kumar, Deputy Director (PR) Dr. Vikas Sharma, Deputy Director (AV) Dharampal, Deputy Director (Central) Sunil Kumar along with Information Officers and other staff members participated in the cleanliness drive.
The cleanliness drive was conducted in and around the office premises with the active participation of the employees of the department.
Speaking on the occasion, the Joint Director highlighted the importance of the clean and hygienic environment for a prosperous society. He underlined the need for setting a benchmark to inspire the society to embrace a culture of cleanliness.
He added that this initiative reflects the department’s unwavering commitment towards fostering a cleaner and healthier living environment.

KISHTWAR, OCTOBER 25: In the run-up to the National Unity Week, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas-2023 and UT Foundation Day (Sathapana Diwas) celebrations, the District Administration Kishtwar, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Devansh Yadav, today commenced a series of events to mark the twin significant occasions in the district.
In a momentous event, Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Devansh Yadav, in presence of PRIs, sectoral officers, and students, inaugurated newly constructed State-of-the-Art Library in Government High School Atholi Paddar completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 17 lakh under Untied Funds of District Development Commissioner.
This remarkable addition to the educational landscape will benefit the students of this remote sub-division of District Kishtwar.
The event witnessed the participation of BDC Chairman Paddar Arpan Singh Rana, DDC member Paddar Hari Krishan Chauhan, SDM Paddar Arun Kumar Badyal, Tehsildar Atholi Satish Rana, CEO Kishtwar Prehlad Bhagat, Principal GDC Paddar Jeevan Dhar, ZEO, BMO Paddar Dr. Anil Sharma, along with local PRIs, teaching staff, school students, and officials from various departments.
Speaking at the inauguration, Deputy Commissioner congratulated the students of Paddar for this invaluable asset, which will cater to the needs of competitive exam aspirants. He extended his warm greetings for the upcoming Rashtriya Eikta Diwas and UT Foundation Day (Sathapana Diwas)-2023 and urged everyone to actively participate in the celebration of this significant day. He also encouraged PRIs to create enduring community assets like libraries for the benefit of future generations.
Additionally, a Block Diwas program was held at Atholi Paddar, where Deputy Commissioner listened to the grievances of the people and promptly addressed many of these grievances on the spot, in consultation with concerned officers.
The rest of the grievances were recorded and will be taken up with the respective authorities for immediate resolution. The event also featured a folk cultural program organized by local artists and students, aligning with the spirit of Rashtriya Eikta Diwas and Sathapana Diwas.
In another significant event leading up to Rashtriya Eikta Diwas, Deputy Commissioner in the presence of concerned officers and stakeholders, gave a major boost to the Adventure Week celebration at Gulabgarh Paddar.
Adventure enthusiasts can look forward to an exciting week filled with activities, including River Rafting, Trekking, Ziplining, Beach Volleyball, Wrestling,bonfire and more, in line with the program outlined by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs as part of the Rashriya Eikta Diwas and Foundation Day celebrations.
The pre-Rashtriya Eikta Diwas celebration saw the active participation of PRIs and individuals from all sections of society, including youth and senior citizens.
Meanwhile, a series of activities, such as cleanliness and plantation drives were conducted in educational institutions and government offices, in accordance with the schedule provided for these initiatives.
