A rusted mortar shell was recovered from a field on the outskirts of Samba district on Monday evening, officials said.
Official sources told that the shell 84 mm was noticed by some passersby in a field at Daruie village of Samba.
On getting information, a police party rushed to the scene, adding that the shell was later taken away by the bomb disposal squad after inspection.
They said an investigation has been set into motion. (KS)
