Army holds interaction and facilitation program for medical staff in Kupwara

Kupwara April 3 : Chakkigam Battalion under the aegis of Charkut Sector and Kilo Force organised a Felicitation Programme for doctors and medical staff of Public Health Centre, Nutnussa and distribution of essential items to Kashmiri Pandits in Pandit Colony, Nutnussa on 03 Apr 2020.Maj Gen Ashok Singh, YSM,SM, GOC Kilo Force graced the occasion and interacted with the Doctors and medical staff at the Health Centre. He motivated and felicitated the medical staff for doing a commendable job in fighting against COVID-19 in the Valley/Area. He also distributed Masks, Sanitisers and other protective equipment to them and assured them of all possible assistance by the Army in fighting the pandemic.The GOC also visited Pandit Colony Nutnussa and interacted with Kashmiri Pandits and heard their problems. He also distributed masks, sanitisers and other essential items to the Kashmiri Pandits and assured them of all possible assistance from the Army. He also appealed to them to adhere to the Lockdown and take all the precautions thereby contributing to the country’s fight against COVID-19.Doctors and Kashmiri Pandits While talking to Kashmir News Bureau Correspondent expressed their gratitude to the GOC and thanked him for his noble gesture and concern for the locals and also for providing the much required necessary items to them.
