NH-244 Temporarily Suspended as Winter Blanket Covers Sinthan Pass

In a picturesque turn of events, the pristine Sinthan Top in the Jammu and Kashmir region has been enveloped in a fresh layer of snow, temporarily halting traffic on the crucial Kishtwar-Anantnag road via Sinthan Pass (NH-244). As winter takes its grip on the region, travelers are advised to exercise caution and stay updated on road conditions.

The Sinthan Pass, situated at an elevation of 12,130 feet, is renowned for its stunning views and is a vital link for transportation between Kishtwar and Anantnag. However, with the arrival of winter, it has become prone to unpredictable snowfall, making it imperative for authorities to take precautionary measures.

The latest snowfall has painted the region in a pristine white landscape, creating breathtaking scenery but posing challenges for road safety. As a result, the local authorities have decided to temporarily suspend traffic on NH-244 to ensure the safety of commuters.

Residents and tourists planning to traverse this route are urged to stay informed about the weather and road conditions. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and will resume traffic movement when it is safe to do so.

While the suspension of traffic on the Kishtwar-Anantnag road via Sinthan Pass may disrupt travel plans, the safety of commuters remains the top priority. Travelers are advised to follow updates from local authorities and plan their journeys accordingly.
