At least one floor of the hotel in the health resort Pahalgam in the southern region of Kashmir was damaged in a fire mishap on Saturday.
An official told that a massive fire broke out in a hotel in Nagbal in Pahalgam.
The officer said that in the mishap, the first floor of the hotel was damaged, including the two-room kitchen.
He said the fire was under control thanks to the hectic efforts of the fire service department, police, and locals.
The officer further said that the 14-room hotel belongs to Shakeel Ahmad Lone, son of Mohammad Ramzan Lone of Pahalgam.
Meanwhile, a police officer told that the cause of the fire was not known immediately; how’s the short circuit? He said the police are verifying the reason.
Pertinently, on Saturday morning, several houseboats were damaged in the Dal Lake area of Srinagar.(KS)
