GVEI shines at ATL innovation PRAGAASH event in Srinagar

Srinagar, Dec 02: Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI) garnered accolades at the ATL Innovation “PRAGAASH” event held at SKICC, Srinagar.

The event, organized by the Department of School Education, Jammu and Kashmir, in collaboration with the Pi Jam Foundation, saw GVEI presenting four cutting-edge models that left a lasting impression.

As per the handout issued here, the prestigious event was attended by senior officers of the Department of School Education, Jammu and Kashmir while Mission Director of Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, New Delhi Dr. Chintan Vaishnav was the Chief Guest at the occasion.

Nauf Nissa, Mentor at the Atal Tinkering Lab of Green Valley Educational Institute, was not only instrumental in guiding the students but also stood out as one of the top model teachers in Jammu and Kashmir.

She, along with 20 others, was felicitated with a certificate of appreciation for her exceptional contribution.

The innovative projects presented by GVEI students showcased the institution’s commitment to fostering creativity and technological advancement. Absar and Nomaan, in 10th and 12th grades respectively, presented a Home Assistant Device prototype that captured the attention of the audience.

Aaesha Kathjoo, an 8th-grade student, introduced a revolutionary Farm Bot, while Mohammed Haddy, also in 8th grade, presented a project on Skin Cancer Detection using deep learning. The youngest innovator of the group, Zidain, a 4th-grade student, showcased a Racing Car Game created using Scratch.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Chintan Vaisnov, expressed his admiration for the young innovators and commended all the students and their mentor for their relentless efforts in bringing these projects to fruition. The event served as a platform to recognize and celebrate the remarkable talent emerging from GVEI, reinforcing its commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
