Srinagar, Dec 17 : Syeda Hameeda, mother of editor Kashmir Observer Sajjad Haider, passed away here on Sunday.
Large number of people joined her funeral prayers which were held at Imambargah Gulshan-e- Ali Shalimar Srinagar.
She, widow of late Maulana Mustafa Hussain Ansari and daughter of late Aga Syed Muhammad Jalali, was later laid to rest at Baba Mazar, Zadibal.
According to family sources,
her congregational fateha shall be held at Gulshan-e-Ali Shalimar on Wednesday.
Meanwhile GNS team expresses heartfelt condolences with the bereaved family, in particular with Mr Sajjad Haider, on the sad demise and also prays for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed soul. (GNS)
