Srinagar 20 Dec : In a multi-crore scam by the “Curative Survey” agency, which allegedly defrauded Kashmir’s people of their hard-earned money, Cyber Police Kashmir has registered an FIR against the operators of the company.
As per the news agency, a multitude of people in Kashmir have alleged of being duped of rupees 69 crores by the company – Curative Survey, which as per them was promising of monetary gains on each investment after around two weeks’ time.
Regarding the multi-crore scam, police sources said that a cognizance has been taken after the receipt of a complaint in this regard by the Cyber Police Kashmir.
They said that a case has been registered vide FIR number 39/2023 under sections 66D of IT Act and 429 of IPC against the operators of “Curative Survey” which has fraudulently collected a huge amount of money from the people in J&K on the false promise of “doubling their investment in 15 days.
It was also learnt that the people became suspicious about the company when coming to know that its “directors” had disappeared along with crores of rupees. (CNS)
