March 23:“`In continuation to its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested a drug peddler in Sopore and recovered Psychotropic substances from his possession.
A police party of Police Station Tarzoo headed by SHO PS Tarzoo under the supervision of SDPO Sopore Shri. Sarfaraz Bashir-JKPS at a checkpoint established at Tanky Mohalla Tarzoo, apprehended one person. During search, 456 capsules of SPASMOPROXYVON Plus were recovered from his possession. The accused has been identified as Aijaz Ahmad Nadaf son of Abdul Majeed Nadaf resident of Astaan Mohalla Tarzoo. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Tarzoo where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, case FIR No. 21/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Tarzoo & investigation has been initiated.
