Police organizes badminton tournaments for girls at GDC Pampore & Tral

March 28: “`Continuing its public outreach and youth engagement programme, Police under Civic Action Programme has organised two Badminton Tournaments for girls at Government Degree College Pampore and Government Degree College Tral.

In these tournaments, 08 teams each from Sub Division Awantipora and Sub Division Tral participated. While interacting with the players at GDC Tral, SSP Awantipora Shri Ajaz Ahmed Zargar-JKPS expressed that J&K Police is on fore front in organizing various sports events as it brings positive energy in the youth & competitive spirit, good health and keeps the individual away from the negative forces and transform/mould the sports persons in the right direction. He further stated that more such sports activities will be organized in the Police District Awantipora in future.

At the conclusion of these tournaments, the winner teams were felicitated with Trophies, Medals, Certificates and cash prizes besides, participating certificates were presented to all the participants.

During these events, ADC Tral, SDPO Awantipora (SP) Shri Mumtaz Ali Bhatti, SDPO Tral, SDPO Pampore, Principal Govt. Degree College Tral, Principal Govt. Degree College Pampore, & other officers were present.“`
