Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Training programme organized for Presiding Officers polling staff at Shopian

SHOPIAN, APRIL 18: As part of the training schedule to equip employees with necessary skills to carry out election duties efficiently, the District Election Office, Shopian today organised two training sessions for the Presiding Officers (POs) in the Meeting Hall of DC Office Complex, here.
The training was imparted by the Master Trainers, Irfan Ahmed and Bilal Ahmed.

Speaking on the occasion, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone briefed the Presiding Officers thoroughly about the responsibilities during the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, 2024 and urged them to put forth every effort to conduct Lok Sabha elections smoothly in a free and fair manner.

The Presiding Officers were acquainted with essential skills and knowledge to ensure the smooth conduct of the electoral process. Participants actively engaged in interactive sessions and practical demonstrations to enhance their understanding and proficiency in handling diverse scenarios.

The Training session was attended by the Nodal officer, Trainings, Manzoor Ahmed and Presiding Officers.

Similarly training sessions were held at GDC Shopian and DIET Shopian also for other polling staff including P1, P2 & P3.
Since the past week, 06 sessions of training are being conducted daily for staff at 3 venues in the district.
