Srinagar, April 27 :- A lady drowned to death in Vailoo Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday.
An official told that a lady identified as Shahnaza Begum (40)wife of Showkat Ahmad Phatan of Pindubal Vailoo drowned in Brengi Nallh at Pindubal Vailoo.
She was brought to SDH Kokernag where doctors declared her brought dead on arrival, he said.
BMO Larnoo while confirming the death of the lady and said the lady is presently at SDH Kokernag and will be handed over to family after legal formalities.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance of the incident and started an investigation.(KS)
