Cracking a whip on illegal mining of minerals at Delina, Chakloo, Singhpora, Khawajabagh, Sheeri, Kreeri & Palhallan B’la, the Baramulla Police seized eleven Tippers, eight tractors, besides arresting eighteen drivers.
The Police initiated the action under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla/ SDPO Kreeri & Pattan .
The police seized 11 Tippers, 8 Tractors & arrested 18 drivers namely Shabir Ahmad Bhat son of Gh Nabi resident of Shilwat Sumbal, Mansoor Ahmad Wani son of Wali Mohd resident of Kanlibagh, Irshad Ahmad Malla son of Mushtaq Ahmad resident of Khanpora, Waseem Ahmad Sheikh son of Gh Mohammad resident of Shilwat Sumbal, Ab Hameed Siraj son of Ab Ahad resident of Bomai Sopore, Sameer Ahmad Dar son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Kanisuth,Adil Ramzan Dar son of Mohd Ramzan resident of Naranthal, Mohd Yousuf Sheikh son of Ab Ahad resident of Khanpora, Javed Ahmad Dar son of Gh Mohammad resident of Khanpora, Wahid Maqbool Mir son of Mohammad Maqbool resident of Shilwat Sumbal, Afeer Ahmad Bhat son of Nazir Ahmad resident of Mujgund,Farooq Ahmad Dar son of Gh Qadir resident of Takanwari Srinagar, Nasir Ahmad Sheikh son of Sarwar Sheikh resident of Pehliharan, Aijaz Ahmad Malla son of Ab Rehman resident of Sheeri, Gh Rasool Marazi son of Sarwar Marazi resident of Sheeri, Faisal Ahmad Khan son of Mohd Shafi resident of Bangdara & Adil Khaliq Alaie son of Ab Khaliq resident of Waripora Payeen.
The drivers alongwith their vehicles were found involved in illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals and accordingly case FIR under relevant sections of law were registered in Police Station Baramulla, Sheeri, Pattan & Kreeri against them and investigations taken up.
