Srinagar, May 30: At around 1800 hours, police party of Police Station Nishat received information that one unknown person was seen drowning in Dal Lake near Moti Mohalla Road, Nishat. Upon reaching the spot, Police launched search and rescue operation along with teams of SDRF & locals.
The dead body was retrieved from the lake and subsequently, shifted to SMHS hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The dead body has been kept in SMHS mortuary for identification.
The general public is requested to come forward with information relevant to the identification of the deceased or simply dial 112.
