Kangan photographer Wajid lone is winner of Kashmir’s first nature photography contest

Srinagar 17 Aug: Wajid lone from Kangan Ganderbal was announced winner of Kashmir’s first nature photography contest organised by Kashmir school of photography YPJK.

Wajid lone was adjudged winner among 112 contestants of the J&K.

The photograph which won the title for Wajid lone was ‘Boy standing on a majestic mountain rock in Najwan Marag(Meadow)) with breath taking scene all around of mountains and pines”.

Expressing his Jubilation Wajid Said , “It is an honour for me and it just the beginning .We have immense scope in nature photography here.Kashmir Valley is bestowed with amazing Natural palaces .My efforts are to capture Nature and bring them to larger people in and outside Valley.”

Wajid lone is a Journalism student in Cluster University of Srinagar .His niche area is wildlife photography and has captured wild fauna never captured before here.

The announcement of the contest was made on 92.7 FM Srinagar .

Wajid lone of late won Photography without borders contest and photograph by him was announced photo of the week in Jehlum photography contest.

Wajid said, “I want to compete in Nature photography contests at national and international level. It is difficult because you have to visit places around the world to get the best.Despite challenges I will give my best to excel.”
