The Kashmir Valley, known for its pleasant summer climate, is experiencing an unusual spike in temperatures this year as earlier this year temperature has broken the records after decades.
The Meteorological Department has reported that this rise is significantly above the average, causing discomfort among the residents and is expected to continue for next few days.
The soaring temperatures have disrupted daily life, with people trying to stay indoors during peak heat hours. Markets and streets that usually bustle with activity are noticeably quieter as residents seek shade and hydration to cope with the heat.

The agricultural community is closely monitoring the situation and hoping for a return to more normal weather patterns soon.
Health experts have issued advisories urging people to take precautions against heat-related illnesses. They recommend staying hydrated, avoiding direct sunlight, wearing light clothing, and taking breaks in cool environments when working outside.
The Meteorological Department has indicated that the current heat wave could persist for the next few days.
The heat wave in Kashmir serves as a reminder of the changing climate patterns affecting the region.
While the valley is known for its moderate summer temperatures, the current rise in heat is a challenge that both residents and authorities are working to manage.[KS]
