ADGP Jammu Zone Reviews Crime, Law & Order of Samba district

Jammu, August 2: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Shri Anand Jain, IPS, conducted a comprehensive visit to the Samba district today. The ADGP Jammu was accompanied by DIG JKS Range, Shri Sunil Gupta, IPS.

 

During his visit, ADGP Shri Anand Jain chaired an extensive review meeting focused on crime, law, and order. A detailed presentation on the current crime statistics in the district was given by SSP Samba, Shri Vinay Sharma, JKPS, highlighting trends in various types of criminal activities.

 

Strategies were discussed to enhance the effectiveness of police operations. Discussions also focused on improving community policing and strengthening the police-public relationship to foster a safer environment.

 

Strengthening coordination and communication with other law enforcement and security agencies for better intelligence sharing and joint operations was a key point of discussion. Collaborative efforts to address and prevent terrorist activities and other major threats in the district were also deliberated upon.

 

Initiatives to make the police more accessible to the public for addressing grievances and complaints were reviewed. Implementation of measures to ensure timely and effective resolution of public issues was also considered.

 

ADGP Shri Anand Jain commended the efforts of the Samba district police in maintaining law and order and tackling crime. He encouraged the officers to remain vigilant and proactive in their duties. He also interacted with the personnel to understand their challenges and assured them of support in resolving operational difficulties.
