Srinagar, 14 Aug 2024: In a spectacular display of national pride and unity, as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign on the occasion of 77th Independence Day, Project BEACON organised a bike and car rally to the strategically important passes of Zozila , Razdhan and Sadhna in North Kashmir, showcasing our enduring commitment to national security. sovereignty and spreading awareness.
The rally commenced on 13 Aug from Srinagar and culminated on 15 August, 2024. The event was marked by a vibrant procession of Bikes and cars adorned with the Indian tricolour, symbolizing our collective spirit and dedication to our nation.
Key Highlights of the Rally:-
• Zozila Pass: Known for its challenging terrain and strategic importance, the Zozila Pass served as a focal point of the rally. The pass connects the Kashmir Valley with Ladakh and has historical significance in India’s defence landscape.
• Razdhan Pass: As one of the higher passes in the region, Razdhan Pass offers breath taking views and is a testament to the BRO’s remarkable work in maintaining crucial infrastructure in rugged terrains.
• Sadhna Pass: This pass holds vital significance in ensuring connectivity and security in the region. The rally celebrated the enduring spirit of the people and the unwavering efforts of BRO in maintaining these vital strategic routes.
The event was attended by officials from the Border Roads Organisation and enthusiastic participants, all coming together to pay homage to the nation’s history and heroes. The rally aimed to foster a sense of unity and pride among citizens while highlighting the strategic importance of these vital passes.
