Poonch, Sep 10: A soldier, lost his life after the motorcycle he was riding skidded off the road near Banpat in Poonch, officials said.

An official told that a soldier who had returned on leave to his home was killed after the motorcycle he was riding skidded off the road near Banpat in Poonch, leaving him critically injured.

He was then shifted to DH Poonch, where the doctor declared him brought dead on arrival. He was identified as Mohd Afzal, son of Mohd Aslam, a resident of Khorinar, Poonch.

Meanwhile, police investigations are underway, and further details are awaited.—(NVI)
