BJP organised a long road show in Shopian today which was led by the party National Executive Member & J&K Waqf Board Chairperson Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi along with the BJP contesting candidate for Shopian Javed Qadri & young party leader Irfan Mahas. The road show passed through many localities in the town of Shopian. Many stop over rallies were also organised where the party leaders addressed the gathering. BJP candidate Javed Qadri promised the people to work like a fighter fir serving the developmental aspirations of the people of historic Shopian. While speaking at the Shopian Ghanta Ghar chowk Dr Andrabi said that people’s trust in BJP’s development module if governance is getting huge endorsement from the public throughout Jammu and Kashmir. Criticising the theatrics of the dynastic politicians of J&K, Dr Andrabi said that the political uncertainty and rigging of the polls has been the record of these three ruling families. They used separatism for their political exploitation and gathered immense wealth by looting the resources while leaving the general population to the miseries of all kinds. “Three families ruled J&K like a dynasty owned business enterprise. They used all divisive tactics to remain in power. They are responsible for the bloodshed which consumed a whole generation of our youth. When they are desperate to regain power, they intend to re-establish their old system of corruption, loot and killings in Kashmir “, said Dr Andrabi. She saluted the youth of the valley who came out in favour of peace, prosperity and development rejecting the old fashioned family politics of exploitation.”The people paid a huge price for the blunders of political dynasts over decades. We cannot allow the old horrible days to return back and hence the change is inevitable which we see happening in these elections”, said Darakhshan Andrabi. Later speaking to media Andrabi said that during the rule of dynasties for forty years, it was impossible to hold elections in the places with huge people’s population but BJP ensured peace and now people are celebrating democracy after decades in Kashmir in free and secure atmosphere. Those who criticise BJP’s decisive changes in J&K are blind enough to see the realities at the ground. She said that Shopian will stand with the BJP in these elections as people want new young faces to represent them for peace & development only.
