Ahead of Lt. Advisor’s vist CAPD suspends three of it’s officials*

*Kerosene worth 75 lakhs seized during raids*
JKNS//In the back drop of the Visit of Advisor to Lt.Governor farooq khan to District and on the basis of direction conveyed , the department of Food civil supplies and consumer affairs has suspended three officers/officials .
The Advisor carried the visit on the basis of seizure of about 1.5 lac litres of kerosene oil by district Administration pulwama. Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, suspended these officials in connection with the issues pertaining to black marketing of Kerosene Oil in Pulwama District .
Three officials who have been suspended in connection with the black marketing of Kerosene Oil are Mr. Abdul Rashid, Tehsil Supply Officer, Kerosene Enforcement, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Ahanger, Tehsil Supply Officer, Pampore and Mr. Taj Musa Rather, Assistant Storekeeper-cum-Clerk.
The department has ordered a preliminary enquiry into the Pulwama incident to be conducted by Controller, Legal Metrology, J&K, Mr. Akbar Wani.The inspector General of police kashmir Zone has been asked to constitute a special investigation team to be headed by an officer of the rank of ASP .
It is pertinent to mention here that Deputy Commissioner along with officers of FCS&CA carried out raids at various places of the district and seized illegal stock of Kerosene oil measuring 1.5 lakh litre at Samboora, Khach Koot, Lethpora, Pampore   and other places having value of more than 75 lakh.
The Advisor lauded the district administration’s action on illegal sale and storage of Kerosene oil. He said that the J&K administration is committed towards transparent governance and the people involved in illegal sale of Kerosene shall be dealt sternly. He asked   the Deputy Commissioner to initiate an enquiry to ascertain the involvement of Government officials into the pilferage and take action under law.
