United Imports Triumph in Summer Cup 2024 Final

Srinagar, 06 October 2024 (JKNS) :
The much-anticipated final of the Summer Cup 2024, organized by the Cricket Fraternity Dalgate, was held today at the iconic TRC Ground, where 32 teams competed for the prestigious title. Dadoo Rangers and United Imports emerged as the finalists in the tournament.

Batting first, Dadoo Rangers posted a total of 145 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Dikshant Kundal was the standout performer for Dadoo Rangers, scoring 46 off 32 balls, which included 4 boundaries and 3 towering sixes. United Imports’ bowlers Alim Shaikh and Sahil Sawant both took two wickets each, keeping the opposition in check.

In response, United Imports chased down the target comfortably, losing only 3 wickets. Zeeshan Ali led the charge with a brilliant knock of 72 runs off 43 balls, smashing 10 fours and 3 sixes, and was deservedly named Player of the Match.

Affan of United Imports was declared the Player of the Series for his consistent performances throughout the tournament.

On this special occasion, international cricket star Parvaiz Rasool was the chief guest. He praised the organizers for their efforts and highlighted the significance of playing on turf wickets. The event concluded with the CFD facilitating the chief guest and other dignitaries present.

The Summer Cup 2024 ended with United Imports’ comprehensive victory over the dangerous Dadoo Rangers, sealing their status as champions. (JKNS)
