November 7, 2024 – RED DROP, a unit of blood donors under the aegis of KASHMIR CONCERN (a registered non-profit organization), in association with GREENLAND FOUNDATION, successfully organized a blood donation camp at Hawal, Srinagar.
Chairman of RED DROP, Dr. Touseef Ahmed , emphasized the importance of integrating blood donation into our societal norms, stating, “Blood donation should become part of our society.” Dr. Touseef’s vision is to create a culture where donating blood is a regular and selfless act.
President of RED DROP, Shabir Hussain Khan, renowned as the “Blood Man of Kashmir,” also spoke about the significance of blood donation, highlighting its life-saving impact and the need for regular donations to ensure a steady supply.
The camp saw an overwhelming response from volunteers, who came forward to donate blood and support this noble cause. RED DROP aims to continue organizing such camps to promote blood donation and make a positive difference in the community.
