Srinagar:,Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, along with key members of his team, reached Saudi Arabia today to perform the holy pilgrimage of Umrah.
Accompanying him on this spiritual journey are his father, veteran leader Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Minister Javid Dar, Advisor to the CM Nasir Aslam Wani, and two MLAs—Tanvir Sadiq from Zadibal and Mushtaq Guroo from Chanapora.
The Chief Minister plans to return on November 30, following prayers at Al-Masjid an-Nabawi (The Prophet’s Mosque) in Medina and the completion of Umrah rituals in Makkah.
Earlier, Omar Abdullah shared his Umrah plans with the public on the social media platform X. Expressing gratitude, he wrote: “Alhamdulillah, political clearance has come. I will be traveling to Saudi Arabia on Monday to perform Umrah and to offer prayers at Al-Masjid an-Nabawi (SAW).”
This spiritual visit highlights the Chief Minister’s personal commitment to faith amidst his busy political schedule.
