Srinagar, April 05: The inhabitants of Ahmad Nagar, Buchpora, Soura, Nowshera, Zonimar areas and its adjacent areas in Srinagar have decried a shortage of potable water in the area for the past two months. Locals of the area informed JKNS that due to shortage of potable water, the people are facing immense problems. They said authorities pay no heed to their grievances and have to fetch water areas. The shortage of water has caused inconvenience to locals, leaving them helpless. Tawseef Ahmad Dar, a resident of Buchpora told JKNS from past several months, they are unable to receive a single drop of water as Public Health Engineer is paying no heed to their problems. “We approached several times to the authorities concerned, but nothing was changed on the ground,” he said. The inhabitants of these areas have appealed Lt. Governor GC Murmu led administration and Chief Engineer PHE to look into the matter and direct the concerned official to look into the matter. (JKNS).
