Satara: Once again dismissing speculations of any differences among Mahayuti alliance partners, Maharashtra caretaker chief minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday reiterated that they are coordinating well.
Addressing a press conference here this afternoon, Shinde, who had arrived at his native Dare village in the district on Friday evening for rest, said that Shiv Sena will support BJP’s decision on formation of new government in the state.
He said that he was a common man (CM) and not the ‘CM’ and aware of poverty and promised to work for poor people.
In last two and half years of his tenure as the chief minister, he worked for welfare of the people of the state by implementing various schemes including ‘Ladki Bahin’ for women, youths and farmers.
Asked about his sudden trip to his native village amidst hectic political developments in the state as well as in Delhi on formation of the new government, he said that he has come here for taking rest for two days.
On formation of the new government, Shinde said that a meeting of Mahayuti partners is likely to take place this evening, in which all three leaders including himself, Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar will discuss on formation of the new government.
On possibility of his son MP Shreemant Shinde becoming deputy chief minister in new government, he replied that discussion was on on this issue and also on Home portfolio.
Later, Shinde left for Thane by helicopter from where he is likely to go to Mumbai in the evening.
