Srinagar: A suspicious object discovered on the Baramulla-Handwara National Highway near Langate was successfully destroyed by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) on Wednesday.
A senior police officer told the news agency JKNS, the object, which caused a temporary halt in traffic, was found earlier in the morning prompting authorities to cordon off the area.
He said, the BDS was called to the site to safely destroyed the threat.
“Following the operation, traffic on the busy highway was restored, ensuring smooth movement for commuters,” said the officer added.—(JKNS)
