New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday spoke to BJP MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput who were injured during a scuffle outside the parliament, when both Congress and the BJP MPs were protesting over Dr Ambedkar row.
The Congress was holding a protest in the Parliament against Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s remarks on Dr BR Ambedkar during the Constitution debate in the Rajya Sabha.

The Congress MPs scaled the parliament boundary, demanding an apology and the Home Minister’s resignation.
On the other hand, the BJP, too, has staged a protest march, alleging insult to BR Ambedkar by the Congress party.
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan attacked Rahul Gandhi for allegedly pushing BJP MP Pratap Sarangi, after meeting him at the hospital.
“This is a black day in Parliamentary history. Decorum has been torn apart. Democracy has been shredded and sullied. There is no other example like that of the hooliganism of Rahul Gandhi and Congress party…Such conduct was never seen in the Parliamentary history of India,” he said.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took the law into his hand by pushing BJP MPs Mukesh Rajput and Pratap Sarangi.
“Today at the main entry of Parliament, BJP MPs were protesting. This is the same place where Opposition protests daily. We protested because the Congress has always disrespected BR Ambedkar ji. Rahul Gandhi has physically assaulted our MPs Mukesh Rajput and Pratap Sarangi.
Which law has given the permission to Rahul Gandhi to take law in his hand,” he questioned.
Meanwhile, BJP and the Congress have shared videos to support their allegations against each other.

Sharing a video in which Congress leader Rahul Gandhi approaches Mr Sarangi after the fall and then walks away, the BJP said the visuals capture the “arrogance of the Gandhi scion”.
The Congress, on the other hand, shared a clip and alleged that BJP MPs were stopping their Congress counterparts from entering Parliament.
Sharing the video on his twitter handle on X, Union Minister Bhupender Yadav attacks Rahul Gandhi over the alleged assault inside the Parliament premises.
He said, “Instead of apologising to BJP MP Pratap Sarangi, the Leader of Opposition is coming back with accusations of his own, questioning if this is what his ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’ is all about”.
