Srinagar: Govt. Degree College Magam in collaboration with Institute of Business and Policy Research SKUAST-K organized a Day long Entrepreneurship Awareness Program in the college auditorium as part of a series of trainings to youth of J&K for their capacity building and skill-set. This collaborative effort between SKUAST-Kashmir and GDC Magam had been designed to align with the objectives of NEP 2020, fostering entrepreneurship and incubation culture among the educated youth of Jammu and Kashmir. The program was inaugurated by the Principal of the College Prof. Tasleema Bano.
The program included three technical sessions on Innovative Marketing Approaches for Small Businesses and Startups, Leveraging government Schemes and Support Systems for the entrepreneurs and Igniting Young Minds for Entrepreneurship in the 21st Century, the resource persons for which were Dr. Abid Sultan from IBPR SKUAST-K, Dr. Mubashir Kachroo from IBPR SKUAST-K and Dr. Shabana Ali from GDC Magam respectively. During the day long program, the students were provided training and mentorship for entrepreneurial marketing orientation and skill development.
Each technical session was followed by a question answer session aimed to clarify any doubts or queries of the participants. The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Shabana Ali, Head Department of Management Studies. The stage was managed by Dr. Mohd Hussain, Head Department of Kashmiri and the technical support for the program was provided by Dr. Suhail Shah, Head Department of Computer Sciences.
