Earthquake measuring 5.7 on Richter scale jolts Kashmir

Srinagar: An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 struck the Baramulla district of north Kashmir on Friday evening, with tremors felt in several parts of Kashmir, including Srinagar.

According to official details provided to the news agency JKNS, the earthquake occurred at 9:06 PM, with its epicentre located in north Kashmir’s Baramulla at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Furthermore, there was no loss of life or damage reported from any part of Valley. (JKNS)
