Tangdar: Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Karnah, Zaffar Ahmad Lone, convened a high-level meeting today at the Mini-Secretariat Tangdar to review and finalize preparations for the Republic Day 2025 celebrations. The meeting witnessed the participation of senior officers from various departments, who were tasked with ensuring a grand and well-coordinated event.
During the meeting, the SDM emphasized the need for seamless coordination among departments to ensure the success of the celebrations. Key areas discussed included the decoration of the venue, seating arrangements, cultural programs, security measures, and the provision of essential services like power, water, and medical facilities.
The SDM instructed the departments to focus on public participation, especially encouraging schools and educational institutions to contribute to the cultural programs. He stressed the importance of showcasing the region’s diversity and patriotic spirit through performances and activities.
Officials were also directed to ensure proper transportation arrangements, particularly for students and local residents attending the event. The police and security teams were tasked with maintaining law and order to guarantee the safety of participants and attendees.
The SDM called upon all departments to complete their assigned responsibilities well in advance and to maintain close communication for addressing any last-minute requirements. The meeting concluded with an assurance from the attendees to work diligently and make the Republic Day celebrations a memorable event for the people of Karnah.
