Jammu: The Crime Branch (CB) has booked ten individuals, including three ex/serving officials, for allegedly using forged documents to secure government jobs, promotional benefits, and presenting fraudulent documents before the court.
According to an official statement issued here to news agency JKNS reads, On the complaint of one Shokat Ali S/o Bashir Ahmed R/o Bani Disrict kathua, a case has been registered against Ex-Deputy Inspector fisheries department Mohd. Farid R/o Kathua for using fake school leaving certificate of 8th class for getting job in fisheries department.
On the communication of Divisional Forest Officer Jammu, on the basis of complaint submitted by Parveen Kumar S/o Pathu Ram R/o Thandi Choi, an FIR has been registered against Ex-Forestor Raghubir Singh R/o Akhnoor, District Jammu for using fake graduation marksheets to get promotion as Deputy Forester.
On the communication of commandant IR-15th battalion Jammu on the basis of grievance lodged by complainant Lal Hussain, the case has been registered against IRP HC Mohd Munshi R/o Rajouri for using fake qualification certificate to get government job in J&K Police department.
On the directions of Ld. Court of CJM Jammu issued a complaint of one Mohd. Yasin R/o Tarha Morha Salli, Tehsil Dansal District Jammu.
Additionally, an FIR has been registered for preparing and using fake/forged compromise agreement in the Court of Ld. Sub-Registrar Munsiff, Jammu against seven persons namely (1) Abdul Karim (2) Mohd. Yousaf (3) Mohd. Hussain (4) Hussain Mohd. (5) Abdul Gafoor all residents of Kupar Nagrota Jammu (6) Nazir Ahmed resident of Katal Batal Jammu (7) Sadiq Mohd. resident of Paloura upper Gujjar Mohalla Jammu, it reads.
Senior Superintendent of Police Crime Jammu, Benam Tosh confirmed that four cases FIR No. 01/2025, FIR No. 02/2025, FIR No. 03/2025 and FIR No. 04/2025, have been registered at Police station EOW, CBJ and investigations have been started to unravel further detailed facts in each case, reads the statement.
