KATHUA: Union Minister of State (MoS) for Science & Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh, today virtually inaugurated the Sansad Khel Spardha at the Sports Stadium, Kathua.
The event was attended by MLA Kathua, Dr. Bharat Bhushan, MLA Hiranagar, Advocate Vijay Sharma, Vice Chairman of District Development Council Kathua, Raghunandan Singh and Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Dr. Rakesh Minhas among other dignitaries.
The one day sporting extravaganza featured competitions in Volleyball, Kabaddi and Kho-Kho, encompassing multiple age categories for both male and female athletes. The initiative aimed to foster a spirit of healthy competition and provide a platform for local talent to showcase their skills.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bharat Bhushan lauded the Sansad Khel Spardha as an excellent opportunity for the youth to engage in sports.
