Man dies after being hit by rolling log in Baramulla forest

Baramulla: A man lost his life after being struck by a rolling log while collecting firewood in a forest in the Zamboora area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla, on Monday late evening, officials said.

Officials told the news agency JKNS that the man was struck by a rolling log while collecting firewood in the forest at Zamboora Forest area.

They said the deceased was later identified as Mohammad Ashraf Bajar, son of Mangta Bajar, a resident of Zamboora, Baramulla. He was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, investigations have been initiated.—(JKNS)
