Gunfight breaks out in Budgam

Budgam, Sep 07 : A gunfight broke out between militants and the security forces in Kawoosa area of Narbal in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday afternoon.

Official sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a joint team of Police, army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Kawoosa today afternoon.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering an encounter.

A senior police officer also confirmed the exchange of fire between forces and militants. As per the sources, two to three militants are believed to be trapped—(KNO)
