1722 persons discharged so far after successfully completing their quarantine
Srinagar, April 06: One hundred and forty-four (144) more persons who were shifted into administrative quarantine upon their return to Srinagar two weeks ago were discharged Monday after successfully completing their 14-day quarantine period.All these persons having returned back in Srinagar two weeks ago had been put under quarantine in top-grade hotels the district administration has requisitioned for use as quarantine facilities.While most in it belonged to Srinagar this group also included those belonging to other districts of Kashmir.Upon discharge, the latter were entrusted to their respective district headquarters in SRTC busses the Srinagar administration had arranged for their convenience. Srinagar residents in the group were all ferried home or entrusted to their families.Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar M Haneef Balkhi who has been designated as overall in-charge of quarantine facilities established in the district oversaw their discharge and their transportation.
