Srinagar: General Line Teachers in Kashmir have elected a new leadership after a decade, marking an important step for the teaching community.
The election witnessed active participation from members, showing their commitment to strengthening the organization.
As per details available with JKNS, the process concluded with the election of Anwer Hussain Wani as president, Mohd Akram as vice president, and Zahoor Ahmad Lone as general secretary. The newly elected leadership is expected to address professional and administrative issues facing educators.
Talking to news agency JKNS, newly elected president Anwer Hussain expressed gratitude to the members. “We are committed to working for the welfare of teachers and ensuring their voices are heard,” he said.
The General Line Teachers’ Association termed the election a milestone, adding that the new leadership would work collaboratively to improve the school system across Kashmir Valley. (JKNS)
