Sopore: Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) on sunday held a workers’ convention in North Kashmir Kashmir’s Sopore area.
A statement issued here said that hundreds of workers attended the convention of Awami Ittihaad Party AIP in which the party reiterated its demand to release incarcerated party president Er Rasheed.
Speaking on the occasion party Vice President “Adv Shaheen said that AIP is the only party in the erstwhile state which has acceptance among people due to it coming true to expectations of the people and has never compromised.
The convention was attended by MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed, PRO Er Rasheed Aijaz Ahamd, District President Ab Qayoom, Zaingair Incharge Mohd Ilyaas,DDC Tujar Muzaffar Ahmad Dar, Progrmme organisor Tariq Ahmad Sheikh,Tariq Ahmad Sheikh , and many others.
On the occasion MLA Langate while adressing workers said that we demand the release of the party chief as we also demand that the Incarcerated leader who is jailed at Tihar must be given justice.
Whatever needs to be done for the democratic rights of Kashmiri people, the MP is giving his sweat ams blood and we are hopeful that the day is not far away that the sun will shine and Kashmiri people will feel relief.
It is pertinent to mention that jailed president, Engineer Rashid, who is an MP from the Baramulla parliamentary seat, will begin a hunger strike for being denied to attend the upcoming budget session of Parliament.
