Karnah: MLA Karnah, Javed Ahmad Mirchal, held a video conference with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, highlighting several pressing issues concerning his constituency.

During the meeting, Mirchal urged the Chief Minister to reconsider the widening plan of NH-701, ensuring that local residences and businesses remain unaffected. He also emphasized the need for the expansion of Sub-District Hospital Tangdhar from a 30-bed facility to a modern 100-bed hospital, equipped with advanced medical instruments. Additionally, he raised concerns about the shortage of doctors and paramedical staff, urging the government to take immediate action.

The land dispute concerning Degree College Tangdhar was another major issue discussed, with Mirchal stressing the urgency of resolving it for the benefit of students. He also advocated for year-round tourism promotion in Karnah to boost the local economy and create employment opportunities.

Apart from these, Mirchal brought up several developmental concerns, seeking the government’s attention to improve infrastructure and public services in the region. The Chief Minister assured him that these matters would be looked into with priority.
